Today I looked at your website to check sunday opening times in Darlington, I noticed that you have free Sunday car parking in all Council car parks. (listed under Festive Car Parking). We then headed in to Darlington to make a start on our Christmas shopping. We parked in the council car park next to the Northgate roundabout On returning to our car you can imagine the shock we got when we found a fixed penalty notice on our car. Please could you tell me how this could happen when you have clearly stated on your webiste that parking is free on a Sunday.

This article appears to be old e.g. Nov 19 fell on a Saturday this year!

Darlington started charging on a Sunday earlier this year. Not alot I think about 1 for the day depending on car park. But worth checking the meter to see when you have to pay.
