The Shuttle and Loom in Darlington threw its doors open on 28 November, showcasing the pub’s brand-new look following a six-figure makeover.
The revamped venue on Whinfield Road was officially reopened by Pete Stemmer, Town Crier of Darlington, who helped to kick-start the exclusive opening event.
The pub has received a significant refurbishment with a revamped bar area and impressive sports viewing facilities.
The bar area has been enhanced with the addition of contemporary tiling and a modern finish. Sports viewing opportunities have also been enhanced, with high quality sound systems and multiple screens added throughout the pub.
The popular Hungry Horse venue also boasts an improved drinks range. Additional cask ales are now available on the bar, as well as great existing drinks deals such as two bottles for £5 and prosecco for £9.99 over the weekend.
The beer garden has also been extended with further seating and new outdoor lighting.
Gareth Bray, general manager at the Shuttle and Loom said: “We had a fantastic opening event and our Darlington neighbours really showed their support. Our guests are at the heart of what we do, so it was great to be able to mark the reopening with the local community.
“We’ve already had great feedback on the revamped bar and we look forward to welcoming loyal and new guests over the coming months.”
The new look pub will offer a range of great value food and drinks deals for locals to enjoy throughout the week, including BOGOF burgers on Friday, curry and a drink for £5 on Wednesdays and add a drink to any burger for £1 Monday-Friday.
