Tees Valley Business Compass, the area’s local growth hub, is holding an event to support companies supplying small businesses in Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees.

The free event in Middlesbrough will show companies supplying services to small businesses how their clients can access funding of up to 33% towards the value of the projects they are engaged in.

Help is available for developing marketing strategies, getting business online, supplying energy efficiency product and services, creating workforce training plans, making strategies to help work towards ISO Accreditation, design and development of Management Information and CRM systems, product and service development and design, business process review and re-engineering, strategy and succession planning, overseas marketing strategy development activities, R&D, and for product and services that improve broadband speeds.

Tees Valley Business Compass is the local growth hub and is supporting thousands of businesses across Tees Valley using an investment of more than £9.5 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), secured by Tees Valley Combined Authority. The Supplier event is one of Tees Valley Business Compass’ ongoing programme of events, which includes the Tees Valley Business Summit and regular business breakfasts and growth surgeries across the area.

The event is being held on August 24th at Uno Momento Restaurant, on Middlesbrough’s Linthorpe Road, between 17:30 and 19:30. Refreshments will be provided and interested businesses can secure their place by visiting

Shak Asghar, Growth Service Manager of Tees Valley Business Compass said: “There is more help out there for businesses than people often assume, and while we work hard to make sure as many companies as possible know what is available, we’re always looking for innovative ways to reach out.

“This event helps us to do just that, by speaking directly to the suppliers of the businesses that we aim to assist. This shows that business support goes beyond the companies being directly supported and adds value to their supply chains and the wider Tees Valley economy.”
